Special Education

Here at JNLA, we believe in inclusive environments and strong school community. We are a full inclusion site utilizing the Resource Specialist Program (RSP) model of teaching. All students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) are in general education classes with their peers for educational and social-emotional experiences that mirror the community. RSP teachers support students in their classes instead of pulling them out and away from their peers. This helps build confidence, character, and community in our students regardless of ability. At JNLA, we are abilities-first!
